The Erector Set lives! The Erector building system was created in 1913 by Alfred Carlton Gilbert, a prolific inventor and world-cl...ass athlete who saw toy potential in the steel girders being used to build railroads in New York. Gilbert's construction sets included robots, Ferris Wheels, and other kid-friendly items that really moved, and were tremendously popular from their inception through the 1950s, when their popularity began to wane. Erector sets have been in and out of production ever since, but the new sets distributed by Schylling Toys provide just as much building fun as the originals. As always, Erector sets let kids and adults build complex creations that really work, and that never stops being cool! Get your child started with the Erector 10 Model Set , an introductory Erector set distributed by Schylling Toys. Read More
