Kumon's program, which supplements school lessons, allows students to work through the curriculum at their own speed. Once students finish a level, they take an achievement test and, if they pass, move on to the next level. Kumon offers various learning tools to make the process enjoyable for kids. The Alphabet Games book, for instance, teaches children to link uppercase and lowercase letters by having them trace letters, connect the dots, and so on.
