Proudly taking home slopestyle gold from the 2014 Sochi Olympics, Jamie Anderson crushes gigantic booters and gnarly rails with un...flappable poise and seriously smooth style. The secret to her freestyle domination? You guessed it, the Gnu Women's Ladies Choice EC2-PBTX Snowboard. Although it excels at lapping the planet's most intimidating parks, the Ladies Choice is a great all-mountain freestyle ride, thanks to its medium flex, twin Asymmetrical Symmetrical Synchronization (A. S. S.), and EC2 PBTX rocker/camber profile. Delivering the playful feel of Gnu's original banana rocker (BTX) with just a bit more bite and responsiveness, EC2 PBTX gives you a rocker between the feet with elliptical camber extending from the inserts out to the contacts. The rocker between the feet provides float in powder, also allowing for a playful, buttery feel, while elliptical camber enhances high-speed response and snap off huge kickers and freestyle features. Based off the difference in the body's turning mechanics, this twin A. S. S. board harnesses a deeper sidecut (shorter radius) on the heelside edge, allowing you to initiate heelside turns with unprecedented precision. Otherwise, the board is a true twin without any setback, allowing for a great ride, both regular and switch. Looking inside this freestyle machine, you'll find a core that's composed of Polonia, Aspen, and Columbian Gold wood. This is going to give you the lightweight feel you desire with tons of snap for sending the biggest jumps and freestyle features. Add in ultra-tough UHMW sidewalls and serrated Magne-Traction edges for a freestyle board that begs to be ridden all over the mountain. Read More

What if going snowboarding consisted of simply driving to your local terrain park, much like skateboarders do on a daily basis? Cr...eated from the idea that snowboarding should be a local activity that everyone can afford and easily access, Gateway Parks has teamed up with Gnu to promote the expansion and growth of urban terrain parks. Currently operating several urban parks across the country, Gateway Parks is expanding to cities nationwide. The purchase of this snowboard helps expansion through directly donating a portion of cost to fund future parks. Delivering a deal for you as well, Gateway Parks gives you a free Weekday Warrior pass to any Gateway resort with the purchase of this board. Designed to specifically slay the park, this asymmetric, twin-shaped board features a flat kink nose and tail to enhance jibbing. The PBTX profile gives you rocker between the bindings for catch-free grinds and easy presses; mellow camber extends outwards from the bindings to deliver stability when linking turns and sending jumps. This rocker/mild camber profile delivers serious float when powder days present themselves--allowing more versatility than your average jib stick. Equipped with serrated Magne-Traction edges, this freestyle board holds vice-like grip through icy snow and variable conditions. An ASYM AP1 core is constructed of aspen and paulownia for spring-like pop when launching onto rails and sending off jumps. Asymmetric in shape, this board features a deeper heelside sidecut (shorter radius) and a shallower toeside sidecut (larger radius) for a more anatomically correct ride. This asymmetric shape is based on the toes' natural ability to leverage more powerful turns than your heels. A powerful animal hellbent on tearing apart steep slopes and mauling untouched powder stashes, the Gnu Beast C3 BTX Snowboard is a... directional freeride monster with an appetite for going wicked fast and picking apart hairy lines. The Gnu Forest Space Case EC2-PBTX Snowboard not only shreds the entire mountain with a fun, freestyle-specific feel, but it does ...so in a harmonious, asymmetric fashion. Gnu weirdo Forest Bailey rocks this asymmetric twin for his far-out freestyle riding, but it caters to anyone looking for a fun, poppy deck with astounding balance and edge hold. The Forest Space Case offers four asymmetric differences that'll have you riding more balanced than ever before. Normally the board's heel and toeside edges have the same contact length--i. e. the edge length that bites into the snow. However, this board has a shorter heelside contact edge to allow for easier heelside turns. Combined with its deeper heelside sidecut (shorter radius) and softer heelside flex, you'll be able to crank heelside turns with unprecedented precision. Add in asymmetric tip and tail shapes and you have one radical board that works with your body for easier turning. The board's EC2 PBTX profile caters to all-mountain freestyle riders looking for the fun, playful feel of Gnu's original banana rocker (BTX) with just a bit more bite and responsiveness. Basically, there's a rocker between the feet, which allows for enhanced float in powder and a buttery, jib-friendly feel. Starting just before the inserts, the board offers elliptical camber that runs to the contacts. Having these camber zones underfoot adds response when carving at high speeds, plus it enhances snap off big kickers and freestyle features. Inside the guts of this asymmetrical freestyle board, you'll find a Pickle Barrel Blend of incredibly lightweight Polonia, and strong, snappy Aspen wood. There's reinforced Space Bars along the center to combat heavy abuse from slamming onto rails, jibs, and park features. Soaking up bumps, uneven terrain and sketchy landings, the board's Liquid Crystal Polymer fibers are incredibly strong, effectively smoothing out the board's ride while delivering an extra dose of pop. Mount the Gnu Pickle Stallion PBTX Snowboard for a delightful all-terrain freestyle ride that slays park laps, pow-filled bowls, a...nd tight, chewed-up tree runs with agility and finesse. A PBTX profile combines rocker between the bindings with mild camber extending out to the tip and tail for a ride that's sure to make your knees quiver with excitement. This hybrid profile floats through powder exceptionally well, and it provides a catch-free feel when jibbing through the park and launching off jumps. Magne-Traction provides serrated edges for enhanced control and vice-like grip on variable snow surfaces--especially on hard pack and icy terrain. Taking a totally new approach to board design and turning dynamics, the Pickle Stallion uses an asymmetric twin shape and sidecut to enhance heelside turning. Operating on the principle that toes naturally have more power and leverage when turning, GNU has decreased the board's toeside sidecut (larger radius) and deepened the sidecut on the heelside edge (smaller radius). The small difference between toe and heel sidecut makes for a well-balanced ride and enhances your edge-to-edge carving ability. Best known for his high-flying pipe antics, Danny Kass has recently taken his deep bag of tricks into the backcountry, sending gig...antic booters and launching cliffs into fresh, untracked snow. His tool of choice for these missions? Of course, he rides the Gnu Danny Kass XC2-BTX Snowboard, whether he's launching park jumps at Mammoth or sending a freshly sculpted powder kicker into uncharted territory. Catering to Danny's aggressive riding style, this slightly directional freestyle board uses Gnu's XC2-BTX profile for added drive and response, as well as a bit more stiffness in the tip and tail for sticking huge landings. This profile blends a shorter, tight-radius rocker between the feet, allowing you to effortlessly float through powder, as well as adding a bit of play between the bindings for buttering and jibbing. Just after the tight-radius rocker, the board has aggressive radial camber that runs from underfoot to the contact points. This radial camber delivers the added punch needed for powerful edge transitions, as demanded by Danny's riding. Because the board is set-back half an inch, it easily floats through deep powder, especially when you consider the tight-radius rocker helps you keep the nose from planing below the snow. Throw in the board's mid-wide waist and you have even better stability through deep snow, as the added width increases the board's surface area for extra float. However, don't let the thought of this board being pow-friendly dissuade you from riding this deck in the park. This directional twin is highly capable of riding and landing switch, as its slightly set-back stance doesn't hamper the board's switch riding, especially because the nose and tail are symmetric in shape. Inside the board, you'll find a core that consists of crisp, poppy Aspen and snappy Colombian Gold wood. It's beefed-up with Liquid Crystal Polymer to reduce high-speed chatter and impact from big hits, thanks to its energy-absorbing fibers that are ten times strong... Read More

Your parents and school teachers should have warned you about the Gnu Gateway PBTX Snowboard. Hooking you on shred with the very f...irst hit, the Gateway offers the fun, playful feel needed to smoke any park obstacle in your path. It makes sense that this freestyle-specific deck represents a partnership between Gnu and Gateway Parks, a leader in bringing terrain parks to urban areas throughout the country. In fact, the purchase of this board helps fund future terrain parks across North America, also scoring you a free Weekday Warrior pass to any Gateway resort. Armed with an asymmetric twin shape, the Gateway offers a deeper heelside sidecut (shorter radius) to balance out the mechanical difference between toeside and heelside turns. Since your body's natural stance allows you to exert more pressure over your toeside edge, the board's asymmetric shape compensates for this fact, giving you a more balanced ride. And since the board remains a true twin, it rides and lands switch without hesitation, allowing you to dial-in your switch skills in the park. You'll find that the board's PBTX profile makes for easy turn initiation, effortless buttering, and even great float in powder, thanks to a rocker or 'Banana' located between your feet. Giving you just a bit of added response to the tip and tail, the board's mild camber extends from underfoot to the contacts without feeling catchy. Beveled Magne-Traction edges maintain their legendary grip, yet they're slightly detuned, allowing you to grind and jib without hanging up. The end result of an asymmetric snowboard is a well-balanced ride with easier heelside turning. Read More

It has a versatile medium flex and a comfortable design for comfort and performance from the terrain park to the peak. The FT-3 highback is cored-out to make it lightweight, and it has an ergonomic design that comforms to the shape of your leg to enhance comfort, response, and support. The EVA foam footbed takes the edge off big drops and flat landings. The Asym ankle strap is tuned to provide more lateral support and medial flexibility so you can tweak grabs without sacrificing support, and the Thin Fit toe strap has a flexible material that conforms to the shape of your boot for a secure fit. As with all of Gnu's bindings, the B-Real is equipped with the Easy Rider Speed Entry Binding System. The highback reclines for quick entry and exit, so you only need to adjust the straps once and then you're good to go all season. If for some reason you do need to make some minor adjustments, it also has a micro-adjustment buckle for on-the-fly tweaks. Gnu has been building women's boards for as long as we can remember, and all the lessons learned along the way were used to create... the Ladies Pickle PBTX Snowboard. It starts with an asymmetrical shape that works in conjunction with your asymmetrical body to make turning way easier. The twin shape and responsive flex make the Pickle a jibber's fantasy, and it has a sintered base so you'll go really fast. Don't think that this park-loving ripstick isn't versatile though, it rides just as well on a pow day as it does on the rail line. If you can't shake the feeling that you could use a good pickle in your life, you're right, and this is exactly the pickle you need. The Pickle is built on Gnu's PBTX rocker profile. Basically, there's rocker between the feet, with a flat/slightly cambered tip and tail. That nets you insane float and freestyle fun, with plenty of edge hold for ripping turns between hits. It's a true twin, so this pickle shreds switch just like it does regular. It gets better with Magne-Traction edges, which place seven strategic bumps along the edges. The bumps are bigger between the feet, which concentrates most of the grip there for a ride feeling that's really close to skateboarding. But the weirdest thing going on is the asymmetrical sidecut. Think about it, your body is symmetrical left to right, but it's asymmetrical front to back. That's why the Pickle runs a tighter sidecut on the heel edge, for responsive turns at a lower edge angle, and an open radius side cut on the toe edge, since you have more ankle articulation on toe side turns. We know, it sounds strange, but the Gnu crew have been revolutionizing snowboarding since the '70s, and those guys know what's up.The asymmetrical AP1 core uses a blend of aspen and paulownia for light weight and snappy response. UHMW external sidewalls kick up the impact resistance. The sintered base runs fast like a cheetah, and holds a bunch of wax. Best of all, you can clear your conscience knowing that you... Read More

Gnu teamed up with the brilliant minds at Karakoram to create the ultimate splitboard binding. The Gnu Outdoor Karakoram Co-Lab Sn...owboard Binding makes it easier than ever to climb to the top of the mountain, and once you're there it provides unprecedented control and confidence that will change the way you ride in the backcountry. Gnu designed it strictly for splitboarding and to work exclusively with Karakoram's clips and system for seamless performance. The lightweight baseplate connects to the board in ride mode through five attachment points to create a stiff connection and eliminate chatter and slop in the seam. This allows your board to ride like a solid setup so you can tap into terrain once thought too gnarly for shaky splitboards. Thanks to the separated plates on the ride mode interface and an open binding chassis, you can actually feel your board's torsional flex beneath your feet. This equates to vast improvements in control and precision over traditional systems. Not only does the seamless design improve riding performance, but it also makes changing over from tour to ride mode and back insanely quick and easy. Instead of dealing with finicky pins and stubborn plates, the Outdoor clips into tour mode via freely-rotating axles that are integrated into the baseplate so you never have to worry about losing parts at the top. When you're ready to ride down, just snap down the quick-release lever, and the binding is locked into place. This same lever also allows you to lock your heel down in touring mode for icy traverses and long skates. Read More

Its go-anywhere, ride-anything EC2 PBTX profile offers rocker or 'Banana' between the bindings for easy turn initiation, catch-free jibbing, and enhanced float through deep, untracked snow--allowing you to ride a true twin on epic pow days. After the 'Banana' between the bindings, the board has elliptical camber that starts under the binding inserts, continuing to the tip and tail contacts. This elliptical camber enhances tip and tail control, also giving you powerful pop for sending huge kickers and freestyle features. So what's Smart A. S. Plus, the board's asymmetric 'Pickle Barrel' core has a softer flex on the heelside edge, engaging into heelside turns effortlessly. Going one step further, the Eco-Impossible's Magne-Traction edges are shaped differently on the heel and toeside edges. The heelside edge features 'power serration' for extra grip, while the toeside edge uses 'finesse serration' for a smooth, less-catchy feel. Inside the core of this super-poppy deck, you'll find Polonia, Great Lakes Aspen, Columbian Gold wood, and Rocky Mtn Aspen. Add in Magnesium fiberglass and you have a snappy deck that springs over anything on the mountain, while delivering just the right flex for jibbing, jum.. Read More
