The Dynafit team went deep into the heart of the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca and came back with a strange creature indeed. This bea...st combines the width of a full-on powder ski with unheard of light weight. They call it the Dynafit Huascaran Ski, and you can buy it now. Dynafit's new Scoop Rocker and subtle tail rocker lets you float over any kind of 3D snow and butter your turns to your heart's content, while the wide ski specific triple radius sidecut offers security on ice and steeps. A sharply tapered Pintail lets the tip float just a bit higher in powder and facilitates getting the tails of the ski into carry mode. Read More

The Dynafit TLT6 Performance CR Ski Boot is not for the faint of heart. This expert-level touring boot is for the serious, committ...ed, and sometimes crazy. It's not only capable of skiing gnarly terrain; it kind of insists on it. Its Grilamid shell resists extreme cold and stands up to anything --conditions you'll find in the wild and rugged backcountry. A carbon fiber and Pebax cuff and rear spoiler deliver security and power when bombing down steeps at frightening speed. But all this strength and capability shouldn't scare you, because this boot comes equipped with a foot-loving Custom Ready liner, anatomic and moldable to your every curve and arch. Its lightweight warmth gets a boost with an aluminum sheet on the bottom to reflect heat. And this closed-cell liner features a destructured flex zone for easy hiking. In walk mode, you have a 15-18-degree release angle, and the cuff rotates 60 degrees for comfortable convenience. A hassle-free two-buckle Ultra-Lock buckle system battens down the hatches like you're going to war. But, no, you're just out for rip-roaring fun. Read More

Dynafit TLT 6 Performance CR Ski Boot - 24 Cactus Green/Deep Red : The veritable solution for skiers who demand the best boots for... high-level climbing and skiing. Thanks to the Custom Ready Liner and TLT6 Performance frame, this is a super boot; one capable of skiing at a high level, while guaranteeing during long days in the mountains. From 8000 meter peaks, to the best freeride terrain, to the most difficult ice and mixed lines in every corner of the planet, no other ski mountaineering boot even compares to the TLT6.Ultra-Lock System 2.0: The new articulated cuff buckle, which, when compared to the previous version, reduces lateral snag, unhampering the transition from Ski to Walk mode and reverse. Driving Spoiler 2.0: The rear spoiler (patent pending) slides inside the cuff, allowing the widest and smoothest cuff rotation possible. Once the Ultra-Lock system is closed, it becomes locked with the cuff, building a super-stiff downhill structure. It also alleviates friction between the cuff and inner liner, which keeps the heel in place for better walk-ability and no blisters. The new metal spoiler insert allows the user to adjust forward lean by simply removing or reassembling two fastening Torx screws. Triple Tongue System with Downhill Booster: The innovative Triple Tongue System (patent pending) allows for incredible agility while climbing and skinning and superior downhill performance once the additional Downhill Booster tongue is added. One is able to customize the TLT 6's flex index by either using the soft tongue (colored) or the stigger tongue (black). Lower Shell: The TLT 6 features the shortest, most compact and rockered lower shell on the market (a mere 297 mm in a 27.5 shell size). This provides incredible agility and walk-ability. This shell is composed with Grillamid®, the lightest and stiffest polymer on the market. Read More

Do you like to get up before the sun, throw on a skin suit, and head out for a quick run in the snow, with skis strapped to your f...eet of course? Yes (duh)! Then check out the PDG Ski Boot from Dynafit. The injection-molded shell provides a medium flex, which is ideal for comfort on the way up, without having to sacrifice too much on the downhill. A fiberglass cuff and spoiler provides a lightweight, consistent flex throughout your skiing. While the boot is on a narrow racing last, the thermo-moldable race liner helps to even out any discomfort you might experience. Two aluminum buckles help secure your foot, with the top buckle acting as the ski/walk mechanism as well. It really doesn't get simpler than that. The boots can be adjusted for a 15-18 degree forward lean, so you can dial in the fit you need for your race that day. A whopping 62 degrees of cuff rotation while in walk mode means that your leg will stop rotating backwards long before this boot does, though it's probably best to avoid that. Since races can take you to some pretty slippery areas, Dynafit used an EVO race rubber sole for the best combination of grip and light weight. Read More

Light but powerful, the Dynafit Manaslu 2. 0 Ski strikes a balance between power and efficiency making them an ideal ski for the d...edicated backcountry skier. With weight in mind at every step of the design process, Dynafit put their lightweight Paulowonia isocore core at the heart of these skis, and then placed carbon stringers throughout the ski to save on weight, increase torsional rigidity, and dampen vibrations for a smoother feel through melt-freeze crusts. Unique to Dynafit's 14/15 line is their newly designed flex tip. With its 3D carbon construction, it dramatically saves on weight, and as Dynafit puts it, behaves like a bike's suspension fork. Slightly narrower at the tip to save on materials and weight, the carbon inlay absorbs vibrations when you're skiing through crud and chunder. A notched front allows for a seamless attachment with Dynafit's newly re-worked speedskins for even more efficiency on the up-track. In order to handle the variable conditions common to the backcountry, the Manaslu has an early rise Scoop Rocker in the tip, camber underfoot, and rocker in tail. The unique triple radius sidecut allows for a relatively short turn radius for navigating tight and technical terrain, and provides excellent edge hold on steep and icy faces. Narrow pintails allow you to easily slide the skis into your pack when you make the final push to the summit, and with all the strength saved from not having to lug a heavy pair of planks up the mountain, your legs will be fresh for a fun and fast descent. If you dig the up as much as the down, if you appreciate getting your heart pumping, love getting away from the crowds and the cha...irlifts, and purely enjoy experiencing the vast beauty of the backcountry at its core, the Dynafit Seven Summits 2. 0 Ski is for you. A backcountry quiver ready for all types of snow, terrain, and ability levels, the Seven Summits 2. 0 is the result of the evolution of Dynafit's most successful ski touring model. Rocker in the tip and tail provides optimal float and smooth ride over soft snow, crud, and the variable snow conditions you face when you get off the beaten path. A carbon speed stringer offers torsional rigidity for vibration dampening and smooth, fluid turning and edge-hold at speed, all while keeping things light. Dynafit's Flex Tip utilizes 3D carbon construction to reduce weight and bulk while also absorbing impact and vibration. A micro sidewall uses horizontal layers to resist abrasion with less materials than a traditional sidewall, and Triple Radius Geometry provides plenty of edge grip on steep and icy terrain. Dynafit knows that the backcountry isn't full of lollipops and corduroy snow, and that's why it created the Women's Manaslu 2. 0 S...ki to be a versatile backcountry bomber ready for a variety of terrain. Built to excel in challenging conditions including powder, crust, and tough ascents, this touring ski finds an ideal balance between weight and performance. Dyanfit's ski engineers gave the Manaslu a lightweight wood core, high-performance laminates, and unique air channels all meant to cut down on heft while still feeling rock solid when gravity takes hold. Dynafit built the Manaslu knowing that weight reduction doesn't mean jack if your ski feels like you're riding a foam plank, so things like carbon speed stringers are there to increase torsional rigidity and dampen vibrations for increased stability at speed and in hard snow conditions, all while keeping things light. Micro sidewall construction uses multiple horizontal layers to create a strong, impact-resistant sidewall that uses less material and weight than a traditional sidewall. Like a mountain bike's suspension fork, Flex Tip technology provides superb vibration dampening, smoothly absorbing impact. Its 3D carbon construction keeps things light. Scoop and tail rocker provide float and control in the deep stuff or over crud while a Pintail allows for an energy-saving body position and intuitive control. Read More

There's a conundrum that comes with building skis for long, fast trips in serious, high-consequence terrainhow do you design a boa...rd that's light enough for serious approaches and fast ascents, but stiff and strong enough to handle sketchy conditions in serious no-fall zones? The Cho Oyu Ski is Dynafit's magic bullet, built with an ultra-light paulownia wood core that's reinforced with a torsionally stiff carbon speed stringer and Quadrax biaxial laminate, creating a ski that's the lightest of Dynafit's non-speed touring models, but with many of the terrain-munching features found it its freeride models. The triple-radius construction, for example, has a fairly wide tip, proportionally narrow shape under the binding, and a pintail that's significantly narrower than the tip, providing superior underfoot grip on icy snow and, along with the tail rocker, an easily-adjustable turn shape that can suit any terrain. The pintail shape also lets you dump speed in an emergency and makes it easy to slip the Cho Oyu into pack ski-carry systems, while the Scoop Rocker tip handles variable snow with ease and allows smooth, easy turn initiation. With a surprisingly wide shovel, the Cho Oyu doesn't immediately look like a speedy super-light ski, but Dynafit's got some tricks up its sleeve. The Flex Tip, as they call it, tapers to a very narrow point and is made nearly entirely of lightweight carbon, which reduces weight and dampens vibration, so you don't get thrown off balance in dangerous situations. Micro sidewalls use less material than traditional constructions and extend deeper into the core of the ski, making them torsionally stiffer and more resistant to impact than standard sidewalls. When you're ready to open it up and enjoy making some powder turns, the sintered graphite base will keep you flying, letting you really love any surprise alpine pow. Read More

Let's start with the obvious--the Dynafit Cho Oyu Ski looks like a relative fatty, and at 88mm underfoot with a wide, tapered shov...el and Scoop Rocker, it is plenty comfortable in deep snow. The not-so-obvious? Despite its size, the Cho Oyu weighs just about 2. 5lbs per ski, making it an obvious call when you're planning on encountering powdery conditions on long, high-alpine, or multi-day tours and expeditions. Dynafit built it with plenty of tricks to help it handle the deep--in addition to the size and Scoop Rocker, there's a raised pintail for extra control and flotation. Dynafit stayed true to its lightweight heritage by building the Cho Oyu on a featherweight paulownia wood core, including a carbon speed stringer for extra stability and a carbon 3D Flex Tip to reduce vibration and ensure a smooth, buttery ride, even in choppy snow. You're bound to encounter variable conditions up high, too, but the Cho Oyu's fiberglass laminates and underfoot camber provide plenty of backbone to slice and dice windslab, refreeze, and boilerplate. Micro sidewalls in the middle of the ski reduce weight while providing serious edging power where you need it most. The ski's triple sidecut radius lets you make any sort of turn shape with confidence, so you can hit all your alpine objectives without hauling around four pairs of skis. Read More

Dynafit created the Grand Teton ski in memory of influential ski mountaineer Steve Romeo--with its near-perfect balance of weight ...and power, this is a touring ski he would have loved. Truly, a refined and renamed version of last year's Stoke touring ski, the Grand Teton takes the effort out of ascending, and descending with this stick is just as easy. A single Grand Teton ski weighs just 1550 grams (less than 3. 5 pounds), mostly thanks to the lightweight construction along with three types of wood and carbon stringers at its core. Less weight means less energy wasted on the way up, and less ski to push around on the way down. The wood gives this ski a traditional, consistent feeling underfoot in the best of conditions, and carbon solves the ever-present problem of quieting ski chatter when you're faced with choppy snow, hardened corn, or sun-baked, high-speed traverses. For the mountaineer, this versatility is a welcome addition to any kit. Although Dynafit is a brand firmly planted in the earn-your-turns mentality (the ascent), the Grand Teton is a ski that will plaster a grin on your face the moment you start your descent. To help you crush deep days and manage tight terrain equally, Dynafit's engineers gave this ski a long, rockered tip and a wide tail, dual-radius sidecut, and they kept the swing weight low. You stay on top of the powder, fast direction changes are never a problem, and you can drive an edge whether you're dicing up a chute or mashing the throttle in wide-open face. Among Dynafit's Freeride touring skis, the Grand Teton is positioned between the Manaslu and Huascaran. The Grand Teton is heavier and fatter than the Manaslu but lighter and slightly skinnier underfoot than the Huascaran. All three skis share the same Scoop Rocker technology, but only the Grand Teton features both a full sidewall construction and carbon stringers at the core. For ski touring in mixed, aggressive terrain, the Grand Teton offers the most balanced ride quality o... Read More
