What flavor are these cupcakes? Banana, silly. You can use a boxed mix instead of our recipe, but mash real fruit and add it to the batter.
Makes: 18 cupcakes
Bake: at 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes

I made these for my 4 year old to take to preschool, they went crazy over them. Very easy to make and is a great project for the family.

9/20/2010 12:05:41 PM Report AbuseI love making cupcakes with the kids, always have. That said, I made cupcakes for my 5 yr olds B-day & brought them in to her summer camp. In a notice sent home from school the 1st day,(after camp) it said they will not be having cupcakes for b-days anymore, rather please have child bring in a special toy from the day.' What in the world....I think it's sad when a kid can't have cupcakes @ school for their b-day anymore.(Kindergarten!)Stephy in CT
9/1/2010 11:38:32 AM Report AbuseI made these cupcakes for my daughter's preschool party and they were a huge hit! However, a few suggestions: we didn't use gingersnaps (on chocolate?! yuck) but got premade peanut butter cookie dough and baked cookies for the mouths, that way we could make them the size we wanted. Mini-nutter butters work better than mini-oreos (less crumbly), and we used the red mini M&M's to give them each a little tongue which added some color and made them even more fun!
