Claim Jumper

The only chain on the ten-best list to have separate menu options for younger and older kids, Claim Jumper's choices are extensive -- 15 entrees and 10 sides. While you'll find some typical fare, the build-your-own pizza, frozen grapes, bean-and-cheese burrito, and barbecued chicken breast are more fun options. And there's even a healthy dessert for kids: frozen chocolate-banana bites. Children 2 and under get a free plate with turkey, cheese, applesauce, and mandarin orange slices since the chain thinks that even the smaller kids' meal is too big for toddlers. Other thoughtful features: changing tables in the women's and men's restrooms and a chainwide no-smoking policy. 45 restaurants in eight states. Call-ahead seating and reservations accepted at all locations.

We like kid friendly places with crayons or something just as fun. Has anyone ever seen those bendable sticks in a restaurant lately? Like Wikki Stix? What kind of toy does PF Changs have?

The Old Spaghetti Factory is my all-time favorite. Perfect for Birthdays. Especially with families, the quality, price, service and everything. It leaves you that yummy after taste when you leave the restaurant. That's when you know it's good!

I agree that Red Robin has some good options for kids. Wahoos has a decent kids menu as well.

PF Changs does have kid's menu items, including Chicken Lo Mein, steamed vegetables, etc. The wait staff in Warrington, PA is great with our twin toddlers to boot!

Chick-Fil-A is a great family fast food restaurant. They begin by helping you carry your food to the table if you have little ones in hand, then they have great extras that make them the best for our family. They have table toppers, little servings of Cheerios, hand sanitizer, and educational meal toys in addition to the play area. The employees have the best attitude as well!

Cosmos in Defiance, Ohio. It is locally owned by a Greek man. You get lots of food, a great variety including wonderful greek dishes, lasagne, meatloaf and lots of choices all for a great price. The restaurant has a family atmosphere with the owner and all the waitresses ready to help you in anyway they can. It is a very child friendly place.
