My kid was very finicky but I was not about to make separate meals. Life is busy enough as it is for her not to eat what we eat. No reason to focus on just the Parents.com recipes but find things that you like and do the "eat what we eat or you don't eat at all" thing. It works!
5/5/2011 12:30:40 PM Report AbuseWe sit down as a family and eat and I am not a short order cook, they eat what we eat. When we go out the boys two favorite restaurants are Himalayan and Ethiopian. I am the parent, my kids don't tell me what to do, if they don't want to eat, our answer has always been fine, but you don't get anything else. Fruit is the only between meal snack and they can have all of the fruit they want.

9/20/2010 11:34:14 AM Report AbuseI agree with thefitts....My kids tried thr finicky thing....took more than a week, even made them eat leftovers from supper.....but hunger took over and even my 6yr old now loves trying new things with enthusiasm. My guess it's a better alternative than going to bed hungry or having to eat fish for breakfast!
9/20/2010 11:32:37 AM Report Abuseto gforce, your kids WILL eat new things!! Just don't break down and give them the chicken nuggets. This will be a challenge for about a week, but after going to bed hungry a couple of times, they'll figure it out. Dinner time means eating what's on the table!
