Playground Tire Swings

THE DANGER: The hanger clamp on the tire swing can fail, causing the tire swing to detach. This poses a fall hazard to young children and risk of serious injury.

DESCRIPTION: The recall includes about 1,400 tire swings, which consist of a tire that hangs from a swivel and three chains. The recall includes the following products and model numbers:

SOLD AT: Authorized dealers to schools, parks, and municipalities nationwide from February 1995 through March 2008 for between $570 and $2,100.

WHAT TO DO: Immediately remove the tire swing, including the swivel, chains, and tire from the hanger clamp until the free repair kit is installed. The company has sent direct mail notices to consumers.
