The Danger:
The assembly instructions included with the crib direct consumers to assemble the crib with the mattress support in the highest position and do not indicate that the mattress support can be moved to a lower position. This poses a fall hazard to children who are able to sit or stand up in the crib.
Description:
This recall includes about 180 cribs. The crib, model #2005, is made of solid wood with a mahogany finish. It measures approximately 42 inches in diameter and has four posts that are 31 inches in height. A portion of the side of the crib can be raised and lowered.
Sold At:
Children's furniture stores nationwide from January 2005 through March 2007 for about $600.
What To Do:
Move the mattress support to the lower setting if your child is able to sit or stand up in the crib.
