The crib's drop side can detach when the safety peg is not engaged or missing, which can cause an entrapment and suffocation risk to infants and toddlers.
This recall involves about 1.6 million Delta drop side cribs, specifically two cribs with two different kinds of broken hardware, including 985,000 "Crib Trigger Lock with Safety Peg" drop side hardware, and 600,000 "Crib Trigger Lock with Spring Peg" drop side hardware.
The following model numbers can be found on the mattress support board label:
"Crib Trigger Lock with Safety Peg" models were sold at major retailers, including Wal-Mart, Kmart, and Target.com from January 1995 through September 2007 for about $100.
"Crib Trigger Lock with Spring Peg" models were sold at major retailers nationwide from January 2000 through January 2007 for between $33 and $200.

If you have any of these cribs, stop using them immediately and find an alternative safe place for your child to sleep. Contact Delta to receive a free, easy-to-install repair kit.
