The Danger:
The company received complaints that airbags in these vehicles opened unnecessarily. A computer chip in the airbag control unit could malfunction when it received electric noise from other parts in the car, causing it to deploy inadvertently Several cases of injuries, such as abrasions on the hand and fingers have been reported. No crashes have been reported.
This recall involves about 342,000 Honda Odyssey Minivans and 63,4000 2003 Acura MDX S.U.V.'s.
