The recalled Focus Electrics have a power-loss problem. A software issue in the powertrain control module could cause a loss of power to the front wheels. There have been 16 complaints. The recalled Super Duty ambulances have a problem that could shut down the 6.7-liter turbocharged V8 diesel engines. There is a problem with an exhaust-gas temperature sensor that could cause the engine to stop and not be restarted for at least one hour. There have been no accidents related to this problem.
The recall includes about 2,500 2012-2014 Focus Electric vehicles and about 3,100 2011-2012 Super Duty ambulances.
