Potentially faulty strap welds could cause the fuel tank to separate from the car. If the fuel tank were punctured and there were a source of ignition, a fire could occur. No accidents, fires, or injuries have been reported.
The recall includes 1,558 2013 and 2014 model-year Chevrolet Sonic cars in the U.S.

What To Do:
Take vehicles to a Chevrolet dealer. They will inspect the bracket straps and do any necessary repairs. For more information, go to safercar.gov.
