Some consumers purchased an infant car seat that did not include a base with the lower anchors and tethers for children (LATCH). Without the LATCH assembly, the seat may be more difficult to properly secure and in the event of a vehicle crash, the child may not be adequately protected and is at an increased risk for injury.
This recalls involves about 1,737 car seats. The models affected are IC123 FSM Comfy Carry Infant Child Restraint and IC124 FSM OnBoard 35 Infant Child Restraint manufactured from May 1, 2011 through April 25, 2012. The model number and manufacture date will be found on a sticker on either the back or side of the car seat that says 'manufactured in' and the model number will begin with an 'IC.'
Retail stores nationwide and online.
