The Danger:
Instead of being made with 1-inch-thick foam sewn in the seat pad, the car seats were produced with 1.5-inch-thick foam, which has not been tested. It's unclear what kind of impact this change could have on child safety.
Description:
The recall includes 18 Graco ComfortSport car seats with model number 8C02MRC2. The serial number and date of manufacture can be found on a label on the lower back of the car seat.
An additional 276,921 Graco ComfortSport car seats were recalled on August 24, 2007
An additional 43,994 Graco ComfortSport car seats were recalled on December 9, 2008.
Sold At:
Mass merchandisers, specialty retailers, and department stores during October 2007 for $80.
What To Do:
