These car seats were produced with an incorrect label sewn to the fabric cover. In place of the "WARNING! Death or serious injury can occur" warning label, an airbag warning label was attached.
This recall does not affect the car seat's ability to protect your child in the event of a crash.
The recall includes Britax Regent Classic forward-facing car seats with model number E9L3998, manufactured from December 18, 2006, through January 18, 2007. The date of manufacturer and model number may be found on the white label located near the top of the restraint on the child's left side under the cover.
Mass merchandisers and independent juvenile retailers for $270.
