The Consumer Product Safety Commission banned drop-side cribs in 2011 following the deaths of 150 babies from 2007 to 2010. This act spurred multiple drop-side recalls from many crib manufacturers after the law took effect. If you have a drop-side crib in your home, don't donate or sell it, instead discard it or request a free hardware kit to immobilize the crib.

The following cribs were recalled in 2011:

Status Furniture The Land of Nod "Rosebud" Drop-Side Cribs

Generation 2 Worldwide SafetyCraft Brand Drop-Side Cribs

Ikea Sniglar Cribs

Delta Drop-Side Cribs

Shermag Drop-Side Cribs

Yu Wei Drop-Side Cribs

Dutailer Drop-Side Cribs
