Stages of Pregnancy Week by Week

What My Baby Looks Like in Week 7

Discover how baby-to-be is developing in week seven. Even though he still has a small tail, tiny hands and feet are starting to form.

Tiny ear buds begin to form. However, hearing typically does not develop until approximately week 14 or later. The embryo is still less than ½ inch long or about the size of a blueberry. Hands and feet are starting to sprout from the body. A small tail is visible as a remnant from earlier embryonic development. This will soon disappear as the embryo continues to develop.
