What My Baby Looks Like in Week 6

Get an inside look at your baby's developmental progress in week six. He's growing quickly, but he's still only the size of a pea.

The tiny embryo, now about the size of a pea, is developing quite rapidly. The heart is now beating about 100 times per minute. In a few weeks, these sounds will be audible with the use of a Doppler device at your doctor's office. Lungs are forming, but the embryo continues to derive oxygen from you via the umbilical cord.
