What My Baby Looks Like in Week 13

Congratulations-- you've reached the second trimester! Wondering what baby has been up to inside the womb? In week 13, you can see he is almost 3 inches long.

Tiny vocal cords are developing. However, sounds will not be produced for approximately 7 more months. This week marks another developmental milestone as you enter the second trimester. The developing fetus is now almost 3 inches long. The pancreas begins to produce insulin, and the intestines move from inside the umbilical cord to their permanent home in the abdomen.
