Whether you love your curvier physique or hate the extra pounds, remember that your changing body is necessary to help your baby develop and grow.
Some women love the physical feeling of being pregnant and relish their expanding figure. Others struggle as they watch the disappearance of the waist they worked so hard to keep trim and the expansion of the bottom that was wide enough to begin with, thank you very much.
If your full figure depresses you, keep your eye on the prize, so to speak: You're growing larger in order to bring a new life into the world. That said, you may still feel frustrated when you reach the point of weighing more than your partner or when you take up two seats on the commuter train instead of one. Harness those feelings and use them to fuel your resolve when you're tempted to binge on a stack of chocolate chip cookies or skip your workout. And remember, the change in your body is temporary.
