Invest in a few quality pieces of maternity workout wear for a more comfortable exercise experience.

Not so long ago, expectant mothers who liked to exercise had to squeeze into their non-maternity workout wear or buy larger-size workout wear that was too loose in some places and too tight in others. Today, several companies sell exercise clothing created specifically for a pregnant woman's figure.

Exercise clothes should fit without being restrictive, and they should keep you cool. Spandex-type fabrics fit comfortably and wick moisture away from the skin. Some women choose a one-piece unitard; others prefer shorts and a top. Either way, always wear a supportive exercise bra, especially during your 3rd trimester.
