Fetal Development Weeks 22 Through 26
Your baby is covered in sticky white goo. But that's entirely normal! This waxy gunk is called vernix caseosa, and it protects the skin from the watery amniotic fluid. Without the vernix, your baby would be as wrinkled as a prune. A product of the sebaceous glands (which will produce skin-oils later in life), the vernix also protects your baby from skin infections and makes her slippery for an easier trip through the birth canal. Some of the vernix dissolves into the amniotic fluid toward the end of the pregnancy, and the rest will be washed or wiped off in the birthing room after your little one makes his big debut.
If the baby is male, his testes, which have been tucked up inside the pelvis, begin to descend into the scrotum this week. Primitive sperm have already formed in the tiny squiggling passages of the testes, called the seminal vesicles. This little guy is already producing testosterone!

hey people am 26 weeks with my second baby dont know yet what it is we kinda want it to be a suprise but am hoping its a girl as we already have a son aged 4. i really cant wait to pop coz am getting so tired with work and all. 40 weeks is just too far

I take a 45-minute walk in the park daily and take two prenatal classes weekly: yoga and aqua gym. Exercising more has improved my mood, sleep, and gave me more stamina to work and travel during the summertime. Just wanted to share my positive experience with other moms-to-be out there and wish everyone good luck with their pregnancies as well!

She is very active, which is a good thing but it is just so uncomfortable at times; especially when I'm able to feel a knot in my side, maybe her foot or somthing. I've been thinking about naming her Aniyah Kalise but the first name hasn't really stuck to me yet. I am definitely set on the middle name though. Any ideas?

I had a boy however sadly he passed away shortly after birth, HAPPY NEWS I am again pregnant with a BOY!!!! I have a few bumps in the road, however everything is going VERY smoothly and I cant wait till he arrives so excited!!!!!

I do not know what i am having but my friends and family know so that they could shop appropiately for the shower, since everything is so gender specific.I will find out at my baby shower with all my friends and family!Everyone loves that idea and they are so excited to see the surprise on my face when i find out.

This is my first pregnancy and though at 26yrs old, I wasn't ready to start a family, God has blessed me with an amazingly good pregnancy, two loving and supporting families, and a wonderful boyfriend. I couldn't ask for more. I hope I can have a better relationship with her than I did with my mother. :)

My girls were born @ 24 wks and I am currently 26 wks and I'm finding that my little girl is extremly active!! EXTREMLY! Its like she's up when I'm up and she's up when I'm trying to sleep! It's fun most of the day, but she likes to push on my bladder and rest in my ribs!! LOL I think we are going to be close!

I have had a lot of the same pains I do not remember it being like this the first two times I am sure being older and not in as good of shape has something to do with I also am having a girl.
