How Much Should I Gain?

  • If you're underweight, gain 28 to 40 pounds
  • If you're of normal weight, gain 25 to 35 pounds
  • If you're overweight, gain 15 to 25 pounds
  • If you're obese, follow your doctor's recommendation, but look to gain 15 to 20 pounds
  • If you're carrying twins, gain between 35 and 45 pounds, regardless of your current weight
