5 Signs That You're in Labor

I am 37 weeks pregnet and i really want my baby by jan.1 tho my due date is on jan 7..any ideas to go into labor eairlyer?

I am 37 weeks, 4th baby and have been w/ Braxton hicks for about 3wks now. Had an iternal exam which led to alot of cramping began yeterday and is still going strong! I was 1 1/2cm dialated and even though I have had other pregnancies, it still seems very hard to anticipate the real contractions.... Ready to go!

miss lil savanna dont want to stay in , i have been in and out of the er . monday i went into preterm labor then yesterday i dia. 1 cem. then when they went to check me i bleed more then they thought i would say they kept me over nite to observe me . they let me go home early this morning cause everything was good . im 33 weeks , they said my cervic was 2 cm short but they said that was normal . does it mean i could dia. fast

I was in labor with my son probably a whole day before I knew it. I wasn't having any contractions but my hips hurt so bad I walked like a constipated cowboy on a cattle drive.I went to the hospital and I was dilated to a 4. My contractions started as soon as I got to the hospital. My baby boy was healthy and strong and peed on everyone when he came out. :)

I have been having some menstrual cramping that comes and go started a week ago and i'm almost 31 weeks. Also have had some bad constipation for a week and havent had any lately. Just been gasy and some back pain. When I stand up after I pee I get a drip running down my leg but I think its pee how do u tell? I had an US on Thursday my water looked good!

i did know wen it was time i was sleep and contractions came out the world i knew it was time.

I am currently 33 weeks pregnet, and very nervous that I am going to go into labor early, and not know it.How will I know when this will happen? Is it normal to go into labor this early or am I just over reacting?

I've been to the hospital 2 times in the past week and I'm only 35 weeks pregnant, I've had severe contractions and they slowed down my labor and sent me home. Right now I'm 2cm dilated and I can't even get enough rest. The baby is head down, plus I have Epilepsy and I am a very high risk pregnancy. I'm wondering why they don't induce my labor, they gave me steroid shots to strengthen the baby's lungs and they said he weighs a little over 5lbs. and he is healthy so why won't they induce me?

im 38 weeks and still haven't dialated not a inch....in ma head i have lil pains i think it's becuse im rushing my labor

do i need to go to the hosiptal went to bathroom when i wipe i get blood but not an underware

im 35 weeks pregnant and ive been having iregular contractions, and diariah and lower back pain but now i seem fine so im not sure if im going into real labor or if its just fake labor so can someone please tell me what they think.

I am 38 weeks and having reall bad contractions, but I know im not in active labor. I need some comfort... an ideas?!

hey tomorrow is my due date and i keep having different pains but their not regular and they come at random times, my doc says if ligament pains but i went to the hospitol and felt it and they said it was a contraction.... so now im scared im not gonna know what to do bc i wont know if im actually contracting or not until its time to actually have her with no epidural???!!

im 9 months and right now my lower back is hurting real bad and i just dont know what to do im getting real mad i dont know what to do nomore .... can some one give me an advice or help me out somehow please....??

My water never broke at home i had the Feeling of needing to use the bathroom after about 10 minutes I wiped and there was blood.shortly after that The contractions started the kind that Stop you dead in your tracks. Well they went from being 5 to 6 minutes apart to 1 minute apart in not even an hour after i had the pressure like you need to poop that just dont go away. So if you Think you are in labor dont hesitate to rush to an ER. It can go slow or it can go fast.

with my son, I went to the bathroom to pee. I finished peeing and went to stand up and had a small trickle down my leg. I thought oh must not be finished, so I sat back down, to try to finish, but the trickle just continued. It took a matter of seconds to realize that the trickle was coming from my vagina and not my bladder. There is a difference and once it happens you will know. Good luck to all. Remember when your water breaks head to the hospital, dont wait for the contractions.

Hi ashleyfrench2011, just me even if you are peeing when your water breaks, you will know it because once it breaks it will do 1 or 2 things, It will come goshing out or it will slowly drip so even when you quit peeing you will still have that constant drip there so if you wipe and go to get up and still notice a drip then it has broken and you will feel very different after it has broken. hope this helps

Believe me.. you'll know when your water breaks. It doesn't matter if you're in the shower or going to the bathroom. It feels totally different, and it doesn't stop flowing.

i'm about to give birth and i dont know what to do when it happens how will i really know when it happening

Hello herms_mary, this is my first pregnancy and I am 23 weeks. How can you tell your water has broke while you're peeing. I am one of the ones that have to go about every 30-45 minutes. I'm scared I will be peeing when my water break and I won't know it. I know I have another 17 weeks but I'm curious.

I have another month to go, i have been having bad braxton hicks and they are close together so i get very nervous then they go away about 2 hours later, he is also a big mover in my belly and has been head down for the last 2 months so that makes it even harder to tell if i am in labor or they are braxton hicks, i hope when i do go into labor i will be able to tell the difference!!!

Your not the only one, I started contractions 3 weeks ago and found out I was 3cm dilated, but it hasn't changed since then. I keep having pains and have also had all the symptoms of this article. Ive been to the hospital 3 times and they keep sending me home. My water has not broken but how do you know if it breaks when you urine or when you're in the shower? My due date is in one week, so I'm starting to think I'm going to end up getting induced.

when i had my son 6wks premature, 2 years ago i had no symptoms of going into labor. i was actually reading about premature labor an about the water breaking early an i had no symptoms, then 3 hours later i was peeing an my water broke.i was feeling extra tired an fatigue a week before i had him but i jus brushed it off since it was the begining of summer, i thought it was the heat getting to me.

I have had all of these happen and I am not in labor yet. I spent 4 days in the hospital trying to get induced and was released 2 days ago. I don't know if my labor is taking especially long cause I did not progress enough to move forward, but nothing has happened yet other than pain, swelling and all of the previous symptoms mentioned in this article.
