Pregnancy Massage

A massage might be the perfect way to relieve built-up pregnancy tension.

One of the nicest gifts you can give yourself is a pregnancy massage. As your belly grows larger, the muscles in your shoulders and back have to work harder to keep you upright. Overworked muscles can tighten, and massage is a wonderful way to loosen them up.

Massage therapists who specialize in pregnancy massage have tables with fold-down panels that allow a pregnant woman to lie facedown with her belly supported but not squashed. You may also have a chair massage; the massage therapist will work on your shoulders and back as you sit in a chair and lean forward, resting your head on a padded surface.
