Your Calorie Needs

Depending on height and activity level, pregnant women need about 2,500 calories a day, according to the American Dietetic Association (ADA). If you are underweight, overweight, or pregnant with multiples, you may need a different number of calories to sustain a healthy pregnancy. If you fall into one of those categories, talk with your doctor or a registered dietitian for advice on how to plan a healthy diet.
