Role Models: Mother-Daughter Model Search

Little did we know that our call for entries would rain hundreds upon hundreds of submissions upon us. After getting to know the candidates through their photos and essays, we invited our top six twosomes to New York City for a face-off before choosing the victors. At stake: a five-year, $20,000 modeling contract with Wilhelmina, a spa getaway, a $2,500 savings bond, and more. The finalists arrived on a steamy August evening and went straight to the hotel to rest up for the whirlwind days ahead -- which included crack-of-dawn clothes fittings, makeup consultations, a pro photo shoot, and lots of mingling with the judges. The winners were announced at a cocktail party on the final night.
