Which Celebrity Mom Didn't Give Her Baby a Destination-Inspired Name?

In the February 2008 issue of American Baby, we asked you which of these celebrity moms didn't name her baby after a destination: Gwen Stefani, Marcia Cross, Victoria Beckham, or Bridget Moynahan?

Instead of seeking inspiration from a fave locale, model-turned-actress Bridget Moynahan looked to newborn son John Edward Thomas' father (and her ex), New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, as her baby-naming inspiration. John's middle names are Brady's first and middle names, in reverse order -- his initials spell out his father's rival football team, the Jets (a possible dig at Brady, as he dumped her for model Giselle Bundchen). This single mom is best known for her breakout role in the movie Coyote Ugly and her guest appearances on Sex and the City as Natasha, the twenty-something ex-wife of Mr. Big.

Her music and fashion aren't the only things influenced by Jamaica: singer Gwen Stefani loves the Caribbean island's reggae culture so much that she and rocker hubby Gavin Rossdale named their son Kingston after its capital city. The California native, who herself was named after a flight attendant in the 1968 novel Airport, was the lead singer of punk rock band No Doubt before launching a solo career and branching out to fashion design through her clothing line L.A.M.B.

After marrying stock-broker Tom Mahoney, Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross gave up honeymooning in Greece and Paris in order to conceive two otherworldly destinations: fraternal twin daughters Eden and Savannah. Before the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actress, who holds a master's degree in psychology, became known for playing perfectionist Bree Van de Kamp Hodge on the ABC series, she regularly appeared on the TV dramas One Life to Live, Melrose Place, and Knots Landing.

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. "Posh Spice," didn't have to search very far when naming her first son with English soccer star David Beckham -- she named him Brooklyn after the borough of New York where she found out she was pregnant. The style-maven, who designed a line of jeans for Rock & Republic before launching her own brand, dvb, is also mom to sons Romeo and Cruz.
