In the October issue of American Baby magazine, we asked you which famous mom's kid shares a name with a day of the week: Amanda Peet, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, or Salma Hayek?
ANSWER! Nicole KidmanThis Oscar-winning actress is the only one of these celebs to name her babe, Sunday Rose, after a day on the calendar. Kidman and her country music star (and fellow Aussie) hubs, Keith Urban, were moved to choose the name Sunday after a 20th-century Australian arts patron, Sunday Reed. And the middle name, Rose, stands as a nod to Keiths late grandmother.
Tomboy-in-Training
Actress Amanda Peet and screenwriter husband David Benioff welcomed a daughter, Frances Pen, after Peet's mother, Penny, in February 2007. Peet and Benioff plan to add another kid to their family, but for now the pair is excited to see Frances grow up to be a little tomboy -- they've already picked out the nickname "Frankie" for her, after a character in The Member of the Wedding, one of Peet's favorite novels.
Let's Hear It for the Boy(s)!
It's all about the boys for Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett. She and writer-director husband Andrew Upton welcomed a third son, Ignatius Martin, in April 2008. Ignatius, who made his public debut just six days after birth, joins older bros Dashiell John and Roman Robert in the family's Australia home -- two years ago, Mom and Dad decided to move back to their native country and accept positions as co-artistic directors of the Sydney Theatre Company, partially to give their kids a more stable home life.
No "Ugly" Babies Here
Actress, producer and single mama Salma Hayek gave birth to her first child, Valentina Paloma Pinault, in September 2007. (The Ugly Betty executive producer and her businessman fiance Francois-Henri Pinault called it quits shortly after their daughter was born.) In addition to her ongoing Ugly Betty work, Hayek's speaking out about the gestational diabetes she suffered during pregnancy, and enjoying her time with Valentina, whom she feels she was "born to have."
