In the November 2006 issue of American Baby magazine, we asked readers which of these soap stars most recently had a baby: McKenzie Westmore, Alison Sweeney, Amelia Heinle, or Alexa Havins. Turns out McKenzie Westmore recently delivered her own little leading man.

The Passionate Mom

McKenzie Westmore, who plays Sheridan Crane on Passions, and her husband, country rocker Keith Volpone of the band Whiskey Falls, recently welcomed their son Maddox on May 21, 2006. Westmore, a country singer herself, met her husband on the set of Passions when his former band played on the show. Her character is the daughter of the richest and most powerful man in town, but in reality McKenzie is the daughter of famous makeup artist Michael Westmore.

Toddler Days

Alison Sweeney may play single mother Samantha Brady on Days of Our Lives, but at home she's got some help from her husband David Sanov, a California highway patrolman. Sweeney and Sanov brought Benjamin Edward Sanov into the world on February 25, 2005. She has been playing "bad girl" Sami since she was a teenager, and even won a Daytime Emmy for "America's Favorite Villain" -- but she's not afraid to reveal her true self. She shared the trials of her public life in her 2004 memoir -- All the Days of My Life (So Far). In addition, she's appeared on many reality shows, including Celebrity Poker Showdown, Celebrity Fear Factor, and The Weakest Link.

Sudsy Family

Soap opera veteran Amelia Heinle of The Young and the Restless delivered her son August Manning Weatherly in 1996 with her then-husband and fellow soap actor Michael Weatherly. Heinle starred on the short-lived '90s soaps Loving and The City. She also spent four years on All My Children before becoming Victoria Newman on The Young and the Restless in 2005. Heinle took a break from soaps to play Peter Fonda's girlfriend in Steven Soderbergh's 1999 crime drama The Limey.

No Baby for Babe

Life imitates daytime drama for Alexa Havins, who plays Babe Carey on All My Children. Soon after Babe fell in love with the All My Children character Jamie Martin (played by Justin Bruening), the actors starting feeling their own sparks. Bruening even followed up Jamie's proposal to Babe with one of his own to Havins. The couple married on June 5, 2005, but has yet to start a family. Who knows, maybe Havins will consider motherhood once her character does.
