Bennett, who has her own destination-inspired name, gave birth to her first daughter, Egypt, after five hours of labor in October 2008. During American Idol's fifth season, Bennett made it into the top five, and was known by the nickname "Princess P" -- which is also the title of her 2007 debut album.
Sugar Daddy
Fourth season American Idol runner-up Bo Bice became a second-time daddy in August 2008 when his wife, Caroline Fisher, gave birth to son Caleb. The new baby came at a less hectic time for the two: their first son, Aidan, arrived in 2005, the same year Bice competed on the show and married Fisher. The Southern couple stuck to a theme when naming their boys: both choices are Irish and biblical. Despite losing the Idol title to Carrie Underwood, Bice has experienced rising fame and has even started his own record label, Sugar Money.
Daughtry's Dad Days
Raspy-voiced rocker Chris Daughtry has been busy since placing fourth on American Idol's fifth season. In addition to raising his kids Hannah and Griffin (both from wife Deanna's former relationships), Daughtry's been enjoying success as one of Idol's biggest post-show stars. After being voted off the competition, Daughtry was quickly offered the gig of front man for the band Fuel. He declined, and instead signed his own record deal and formed a band-aptly named "Daughtry."
A Rocker Unleashed
After coming in third on American Idol's very first season in 2002, Nikki McKibbin has juggled her career as a rocker chick with raising her son Tristen, 10. The singer, known for her funky style, released her debut album Unleashed in 2007, but has weathered some challenges along the way. McKibbin recently returned to TV, but not for singing. The former Idol star was among the crew appearing on the second season of VH1 reality show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
