how about doing Shapes and Numbers apps that can keep kids active at the same time, similar to "Color Hunter" or "Road Trip Scavenger Hunt" (android apps)? kids get much more involved in games that require them to perform real tasks (it's almost as good as helping Mommy in the kitchen... :D)

The app is in the android marketplace when you search under Parents magazine. There just isn't a link to it from Parents.com. Colors is free. Numbers is 99 cents.

Toddler loved playing with the app! Could you make a patch to it so a parent can select if they want to work on the numbers in sets such as a preschool or kg level child needs ie 1-5 and then 1-10 ? Mine is three and learning her numbers , I want her to learn the basic one through ten set before jumping to thirty..... I would have expected something so common knowledge as that from a parenting magazine...... Other wise so far we're very happy with the price and the flashcards.....

iPhones are not the only smartphones. It is pretty disappointing that so many things now days are for iPhones only. Blackberry's and Droids have been pretty popular for a while now.
