Can I add a pic of my niece when she was younger or does it have to be a current picture

I am a little disappointed, and my son is winning this week! I just thought I had entered him in the Kid of the Year, so I told people to vote and what great prizes were possible..only to find out that he is just in the "babies" category and will win nothing more than a certificate. So, now all these people are voting thinking he will win at least $250 and I feel like a liar... Parents really should have even a small prize for the smaller categories, just to at least make it worthwhile!

This ranking system is a freaking joke! It doesn't even show many votes you have to know how many votes ahead or behind you are to catch up. My son has been in the same ranking for 3 days and I know he's had a ton of votes. Parent's Photo Faves is a total scam. Besides, the kids with the highest ranking are not as cute as others in the contest.

I have had no problems whatsoever with voting or the contest. People complaining about professional photos being submitted, some of us just have high quality cameras! Also, it clearly states that the ranking is not official, so why is everyone complaining about the ranking? The official rules need to be read thoroughly, it will clear up a lot of your concerns! People not being able to vote...have you considered that it might be your browser?

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who is having trouble voting. I was able to vote but everyone I've sent the link to is unable to vote. They click on "vote for me" and nothing happens. If this is a real contest I would appreciate a real shot at winning!

Obviously if you have more "likes" on Facebook, it mean those babies have more people that voted for them. I don't understand how some baby only have 48 "likes" and was place in #1 place for at least 4 days. The babies in places #1-10 stayed in those places in the last few days without changing, and yet the babies who had more "likes" kept on going down in numbers. Even though the number of Facebook likes don't count, more likes means more people vote.

Hi, My friends and family are voting for my daugther, but it seems like the votes are not being submitted. I tried from many different computers too. When I click on "vote for me" button, the page refreshes, and the "vote for me" button still shows up. I don't see "submit your vote" button at all. I have tried to unblocking Pop-ups, it still doesn't work. Please fix this problem, so that the votes can be submitted. thank you.

I like your contest but I do agree with so many that this is really unfair because I have been trying to vote along with others and I am unable to do so. I don't understand why when hitting the vote button nothing happens and others have tried it also. So if the winner is determined by votes and if they can't vote it is very unfortunate for the entrant. I also doubt that I will get an answer on this but I just want to state that this is very unfair.

I doubt this will ever get answered but I am a little upset about this weekly contest. Myself, friends and family have been trying to vote for 3 days now and no one can get the vote button to work. very very unfair if you ask me. It would be nice to vote for my own child but obviously thats not going to happen.

I have similar complaints to all the above. What idiot at the company was in charge of this contest. Anyway, I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I encourage others to do the same.

How many entries are currently running? I know there are at least 2578 because I found a child who was in that place yesterday but my computer locks up before I get to the end to find out.

3)Even if you get the most votes the system running the tally system isn't working correct, I see several kids with a lower or higher ranking than others that are not positioned correctly. If your going to make the rules isn't it only fair that you yourself follow them!!

I have a huge complaints with this contest , 1)it clearly states no "Professional pics" yet there are several on the site to be judged, 2) it's judged by other people,so it saying as long as you have more friends you¿re going to win it's not judged by the looks of the child

People cheat. Many pics are professional (many with a photog¿s name) & were taken >1 month b4 submission (Xmas/Easter pics for the submission week of 5/30/11). The baby that ranked #1 last week is cute but it is a professional pic. Rules state: pics must be taken by the entrant within 1 month of submission & each kid may only be entered once. There were multiple pics of the same kid, & many are in this week's voting too. They should be disqualified. How does a rank go from 5000+ to 16 in 1 day?

The facebook number is not the real number of how many people voted for your child. It can be in emails that friends and family are voting!

I absolutely do not understand the ranking system for these photos... I just started this week and my son has WAY more votes than these people under the top ten ranking... Can someone please explain because this ranking system is BEYOND STUPID.

I agree with Irishgram52 - it's not fair that a child's cuteness or magnetism should be judged by the amount of friends or emails one can send out. I wish you would do it another way.

OH AND ON THE OFFICIAL RULES, IT SAID CUTEKID ON THE TOP. So there is no way me and my sisters would have been mistaken. They just don't want to give the money. And also even though you won it will said on the bottom unofficial winner,when I asked is it official? She said yes but we don't change it. That is not how you run a contest!!!

OK,my son won the kid of the week contest under CuteKid.Me & my sisters read the official rules more than 3 times.It said very clear that the winner will get certificate and $250.I never got the check.I contacted them.She said that "My son won in the cutekid category which doesn't have cash prize.I asked for the official rules because right now you can't find it on the website obviously they took it out & guess what she said that they don't even have the official rules. THIS IS A SCAM!

How can you tell how many votes ahead/behind your photo is?

Even if the baby wins, it's unlikely they will ever contact you. Our baby won and we never heard a word from them. We also sent emails inquiring and received nothing. I am beginning to think it's a scam to get clicks on their site.

this i horrible, they choose the picture where you could barely see her face... Yes you could see her but i posted SIX pictures and they choose that one.. womp womp. the winners are CLEARLY already chosen. i wont enter my child again

I thought you werent allowed to use professional photographs???? If not then why do I see so many on there?? And the whole voting system is a crock, its just not fair... I have a lot of people voting for my daughter and she didnt even move in rank?

Honestly if you think about the voting system someone could sit and make fake emails fake facebook accounts and just like the baby and vote that way. Its not really a practical way to find a winner.

YOU contact me saying my photo was "chosen".pics here are blurry,look like taken with cell phones. friends try & vote & cant, link brings up another kid. I got 5 emails with the "link" to my pic,link brings up someone elses pic.I didnt want to be part of contest,esp not that counts votes from friends.wish I never downloaded & will get on your facebook page & say that as well as cancel my subscribtions to your mag.

honestly this is so unfair my daughter has 730 likes and way more votes and the little boy in first place has 17 likes so i know he does not have as many people voting for him, and now my daughter is in 12th place?!?!?!!!! ITS BULL!! really what kind of people need to cheat?!

Nobody has been able to vote-it keeps defaulting to the "enter now" page. I emailed the photo department, got a new link, used that and--IT DEFAULTED TO THE HOME PAGE. The explanation was to change browsers?? Really? Browsers? Everyone's browsers, no matter who tried on what computer across the nation didn't work? Disappointing.

I have to speak up here, because I am more than irritated by this whole thing. I can't begin to tell you how many times I linked the picture to emails, my facebook page, etc., only for another kid's picture to show up, the link defaulting to the home page, the picture missing...etc, and do on.

some of the children were entered twice!!!! just different photos;; for instance, the little girl in position number 1 is also in another photo in position number 13!!! talk about cheating!

The voteing seems unfair I only have 2 people in my family that can vote and that includs me so really only one. I dont have a facebook becouse 1 I dont have time 2 im mairred and facebook is just asking for a fight, and it seems like the only way to win is have 1000s of facebook friends :(

Link to child changes daily! Share FB, friends vote next morning & taken to different kid! Ridiculous! Who d/n know what your friend child "really" looks like is voting for someone else's child! Just "for security reasons" typing phrase is So magazine can get IP address? D.not seem to be focused on kids. Grandson has lost so many votes! The link assigned to child should remain with that child throughout the 7 voting days..final answer...or call it exploitation...

I keep getting the same message 'For security reasons you must pass the remote ip to adcopy'. Soooo frustrating! My friend got the same msg when she tried to vote from her computer!! I have sent an email to the DIY Contest Administrator and I'm hoping they will get this error fixed BEFORE the end of the day. I am glad I'm not the only one with this issue, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating!

I am trying to vote for a photo on Parents website but the message that keeps coming up is "For security reasons, you must pass the remote ip to adcopy". In addition, I tried voting on another photo to see if it's a random error. But I got that same message when trying to vote for another photo. Also tried using another computer...same message. I don't believe this is a user error since it was working fine yesterday. Any suggestions?

Ranking numbers are not changing. These number are from 3 days ago. We don't know how our children are doing without them. Please advise!

How come there was never an update on 10/15? Rankings haven't changed since Thursday afternoon.

How come my son's photo rank on 11th place now.. He was on 10th place yesterday. And as of now he got 2nd to the highest votes on top 30 photos as of today, Oct 14.

I put my daughter's photo up and a link on facebook and when my friends click on her pick with the link it takes it to a totally different photo of a different kid! that is just WRONG! SO NOW MY DAUGHTER FOR THE PAST WEEK HAS BEEN LOSING HER VOTES!!!

I posted a link to Facebook, but the next day the same link that SHOULD HAVE linked to my kid went to somebody else's! It makes me wonder how many people voted for the wrong kid. Every day the link changed. There should have been ONE link that stayed the same all week so I wouldn't have to keep deleting it at the end of the day and reposting it. What a scam. I'm positive that it affected my child's votes adversely. So thanks, but thanks for nothing!

I agree with Irishgram52. Your contest is wonderful, however, reaching out for votes seems a little unfair. A ranking system based on professional judges should be more reliable.

I'm having the same problem as holla_at_mrswas. As of this morning, the ranking does not seem to get updated for my daughter's picture either. And I don't see how many votes her picture has got. Per my friends, they voted yesterday afternoon but my daughter's picture still shows "One person likes this."

I cannot seem to find out the number of contestants to know if my childs ranking is actually decent. Also, I hate that you cannot look at a number of contestants on one page instead you have to go through them individually. That takes too long.

My daughters photo has gotten over 100 confirmed votes by my family and friends and everyone keep asking why her status has her dead last. We can't believe that every picture before us had that large a number of voters the first day. Besides, all the winner gets is a signed certificate from the Executive Editor. BIG DEAL! All because I refused to pay to have her entered in the cover contest and they automatically entered her into a contest I didn't consent to. What a SCAM!!!!!

Where can I find or get a copy of the official rules for Parent's Photo Faves?

My ranking status did not update today at all as my it stated yesterday my child was @216 yesterday and current 75 and today it shows the same status instead of stating yesterday 75 and current......can you please let me know were the votes counted yesterday and if so why the status wasn't changed.

Is there a way family and friends on facebook can find the picture? On the website it has a place where you enter your email to find the picture but what about for family and friends? There should be a place where you can just enter the childs name and their photo appears. That will make it easier to find the child. Just a FYI.

Your contest is wonderful, however, reaching out for votes seems a little unfair. Many of us don't have large families, which limits our voting! Beautiful babies are losing out because of this practice of voting.
