You showed an incorrect table setting. Salad fork always goes on the outside - what you use first is on the outside.

I beg to differ with you on the table setting template. We are always taught "outside in" for using utensils, which means that the salad fork is to be to the extreme left, as that is used first. Conversely, the soup spoon is at far right.
