Quick Cheerleader Costume

What You'll Need:

• Plastic grocery bags
• Twist ties
• Scissors
• Electrical tape
• Cracker or cereal box
• Tape

Make It

Pom-poms:
1. Gather six plastic bags and secure just below handles with a twist tie. Trim the bottom off each bag.

2. Fringe 1/2"-wide vertical strips in each bag, stopping 1/2" below the twist tie. Wrap electrical tape around the twist tie to secure. Repeat for second pom-pom.

Shoe and hair pom-poms:
1. Cut and stack nine 4" squares of plastic bag.

2. Cut parallel strips 1/4" wide on opposite sides, leaving a 1/2" section in the center uncut. Wrap a twist tie around the center and use to secure to shoelaces or hair rubber band.

Star shape:
Cut out a 4" star from a cracker or cereal box and tape to your child's sweater.
