Maxine Kumin is the author of fifteen books of poetry, among them "Up Country," for which she was awarded the 1973 Pulitzer Prize, and, most recently, "Jack and Other New Poems."
Kumin is also the author of several essay collections and novels, a short story collection, a murder mystery, and "Inside the Halo and Beyond," a memoir.
Born in Philadelphia and educated at Radcliffe, she now lives in New Hampshire.
