When children feel lonely or confused, they may not recognize the emotions or know how to express them. A new series of books is designed to help parents discuss these and other uncomfortable feelings with their children.

The WorryWoo Monsters collection started as an art installation and evolved into a line of books and plush dolls that have won awards and rave reviews. The first book, The Lonely Little Monster, tells the story of Nola, a sweet monster who wanders through a beautiful forest in search of a friend. Other books deal with insecurity, innocence, and confusion. Designed for children ages 5 and up, each book features beautiful watercolor drawings. Stuffed dolls of each book's title character are also available.

WorryWoo Monsters by Andi Green, $14.50/book and $21.50/plush doll, available at shopatron.com.
