What You'll Need:

Embroidery hoop, paint, paintbrush, cardstock, scissors, contact paper, colored tissue paper, ribbon

Make It:

  1. Paint an embroidery hoop in your child's favorite color. Cut the outline of a butterfly -- or any other shape -- from cardstock, to fit inside the hoop.
  2. Place the butterfly onto a piece of clear contact paper, sticky side up. Let your child tear up colored tissue paper to stick onto the wings. When you're done, place a sheet of tissue paper over the butterfly and add another layer of contact paper, sticky side down.
  3. Place inside the hoop and trim the edges. Hang with a ribbon near a sunny window.
