Cottage Romance

When tableware designer Rosanna Bowles first saw the cedar-shingled beach house just outside of Portland, Oregon, where she'd grown up, she knew she'd found what she was looking for. "I wanted a house near the water where I could recreate my childhood summer experiences for my own children," says Rosanna, who, with her husband, Mimmo Rosati, has two daughters, Alessandra, 19, and Francesca, 11. "We love picnicking on the beach, picking wild blackberries, and grilling just-caught fish right off the boats."
