I've also found that keeping my blood sugar stable helps tremendously... If you're not familiar with how to do that, a key point is complex carbs and protein sources (whole grains, veggies, beans and nuts, animal products) help keep it stable, while refined carbs like white flour and sugar make it spike and then crash (which then makes me feel nauseous). Also getting fresh air helps, and not being too hot. I can't imagine going through the first trimester in the summer! You can also make your own ginger tea. Just take a few slices of peeled fresh ginger, which you can find in the produce department, and simmer in a pot of water for like 10-15 minutes. I like to add honey to that Good luck!
