I'm 21 weeks pregnant and I have my 4 year old daughter to take care of as well. I work full-time 9-10 hour shifts a day 6 days a week at a plant that makes cars. It puts a lot of pressure on my back, I mean I really have a hard time walking at times and when I get home I'm to tired to give my all to my daughter. My husband is at work when I get off, although he does help a lot on his off days its still very very stressful when he's not here. I also have headaches that won't go away for days at a time. I cry throughout the day on and off mostly because I feel like I'm neglecting my daughter and im just really over whelmed at work. Is it possible to ask my doctor to take me off work on a stress leave because I really feel like I'm about to break.

Re: ladies

i know how you feel. i work in a plant that makes back up generators, meaning i sit in a metal box all day long wiring it my knees basically at my nose. i would come home so tired then have my stepkids running around with the dog. i was sick for so long and tired all through. i would tell hubby i love him then lock myself in the bathroom, takes showers just to cry. lol anyway. i told my work i was going on light duty and hid in the bathroom for extended periods of time. im not gonna lie, there may have been a nap or two in there. but omg those steel toe boots were the kicker. i never realized how heavy they were til i was a week past my due date. stay strong. god bless and good luck!

Re: ladies

This might be a great time to bump up your daughter's social life! If she has any friends who's paprents you trust to leave her alone with, maybe she could have a few more play dates during the week so you can have time fora much needed nap or soak in the tub. Or....maybe an older neighbor who would love to have a weekly tea party with her?

Also, could you bring a cushion to work to sit on and get some insoles for your shoes. I worked at a sign making company during my first pregnancy and I got a little creative with comfort. I found a coushioned tall stool and claimed it as mine during those months. Good luck :smileyhappy:
