Kindergarten on the horizon for my preschooler

Oh my, it just can't be!  My preschooler is going to be in Kindergarten next year!  I'm excited for her and nervous for me lol.  I'm hoping she will do ok with the transition.  The BEST thing is that we found out her PreK teacher is moving up a grade and will also be her Kindergarten teacher next year!  That will most definitely help with the transition.  Anyone else have a kiddo moving from PreK to K?

Re: Kindergarten on the horizon for my preschooler

My son starts kindergarten on the 27th this month..he went to pre-last yr and things went great..I was soooooo sad he was leaving me I've always stayed home with him and I felt like I was losing my baby. This yr will be full day so it will be an adjustment for all of us

Re: Kindergarten on the horizon for my preschooler

Don't worry! I am pretty much sure that your preschooler will do well in Kindergarten. Last month my 5 year old daughter moved from preschool to kindergarten. All I can say that Kindergarten is more academic than Preschool.
