Teaching kids about the value of money and saving

Hi I hope this is allowed otherwise I am sure the admins will remove it. I have an 8 and 5 year old who had gotten fairly spoiled when it came to getting toys. A few days after the last Christmas, they were already asking for more toys! I decided that it was time to teach them about earning money and saving for goals.
I created an app that I now use to reward my kids when they help out in certain chores (some chores are not paid e.g cleaning their rooms or any mess they make). The app is called ChorePiggie and available in the App Store. Ever since I began using this app, my kids now ask for toys in terms of how much they have earned. Here is a link to the app and I hope you find it useful.
