Bicornuate Uterus

Anybody else been told they have a bicornuate or "heart-shaped" uterus? I had 2 miscarriages last year and no one ever told me that. I switched doctors this pregnancy and when I went in for a sonogram last week, the sonographer said I have one. She pointed it out to me and I think she's right (I'm a cardiac sonographer so I have some idea of what I'm looking at on those things.) She said the only thing to worry about is that the baby might be breech. When I look it up though, I find all kinds of things about the high risk of preterm labor. I still don't see the dr for 2 weeks so I don't wanna get too upset until I talk to him.

Re: Bicornuate Uterus

I don't have any experience or knowledge of this, but I'm thinkin if breech and preterm labor are the main risks, that's relatively easy to plan ahead and watch for. Preterm labor is easily stopped or delayed these days. And baby should still arrive healthy. Keep us posted after your appt though.
