Re: First time moms?

I have yet to schedule my first obgyn appointment, but I will very soon, and my husband will be coming with me. I think it's extremely important to have your spouse/significant other involved in it all! I know seeing the first ultrasound and sonogram will be a huge deal for not only me, but for my husband as well :smileyhappy:

Re: First time moms?

My husband will be there for the ultrasound part, but I was wondering if anyone expects or plans to have their partners there the whole time. I know questions are asked about his family history but I also think my OB Gyn might want to take care of my pap at the same time. Should I prep him for that or tell him to leave for a little while? Man, I just jumped right into the personal stuff! I hope no one is offended! Just have some little anxieties!

Re: First time moms?

hi everyone. i am 6 weeks pregnant and a first time mom. has anybody else been experiencing morning sickness to the point where they dont want to eat anything at all and can only keep down fluids ? & has anyone else experienced a clogged mose from the progesterone ? i can barely breathe through my nose lol. Also i know its super early but any tips about labor with and without an epidural because i have the lowest pain tolerance and im already freaking out about the contractions and labor lol. im also 4"11 with a pre-pregnancy weight of 92. is there anything that can cause complications for me considering im so tiny ?

Re: First time moms?

Second pregnancy...first was completely by the book and easy. Hoping for the same this time around. I had forgotten what a worry-wart pregnancy turned me into. I say that I'll stop worrying after the first ultrasound, but I know that I'll find something else to worry about!! So although it is my second, I know every one is different, but all we can hope for is happy, healthy babies!!

Re: First time moms?

Hi lilbit! Oh I was morning sickness miserable all week 6 and into week 7. Now, the symptoms have subsided going into week 8; however, from what I understand the morning sickness part differs for everyone. Hopefully it's a quick bout of it for you and it goes away! (Hopefully for all!)

Re: First time moms?

I just found out I am six weeks along. This will be my first child, and I'm very nervous because I will be a single mom and I live in Hawaii and all my family is on the mainland. So I dont have a large support network out here.

Re: First time moms?

This is my first pregnancy. Has anyone experiencing some stomach pain near the belly button?  Not in the abdomen, higher.  It comes and goes.  I'm going  in to my third week with this and at first I thought it was attaching to my uterus.  I also heard things are moving around in there to prepare the body but its an annoying thing that won't go away.  I don't think anything is wrong but I will be going to my first doc appt 8/5. Just curious if I'm the only one experiencing this.
