Gestational Diabetes

I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.  I'm at a loss as to what to do.  I don't have a doctor's appointment until next week and all they could say is watch what I'm eating.  I have been watching what I eat but am still unsure if I am eating properly.  Do you have any suggestions?

Re: Gestational Diabetes

Lots of veggies. What I've seen is that half your plate should be veggies, one quarter of it protein and the other quarter carbs. Limiting/reducing your carbohydrate intake is usually recommended.
