Convertible Cribs

I'm looking into a crib and trying to decide if the 4:1 convertible crib is worth. I'm leaning towards a 3:1.

It just seems like by the time the bed make sit to a full size, it might not be in the best shape anymore anyway. Plus, you still have to purchase the mattress, etc. Does anyone have a bed like this, or a story to sway me in either direction?

Thanks!!

Re: Convertible Cribs

Honestly, I had a crib with both my children that could have been converted to a full size but I never did it.  By that time, they were ready for something different looking.  I thought both times with both crib purchases that I would convert it but I never did.
