Re: Brand New

Hi ladies--

I'm due around August 17 and have my first appointment on January 15.  I'm going to the doctor my sister used, and was super excited for an ultrasound until she told me this doctor only does one U/S at 20 weeks.  Is that common?  I don't want to find a new doctor just for that reason, but am disappointed to not see my little bug.

Thanks!

Re: Brand New

With my first pregnancy I didn't have an U/S til 20 wks do I do think this is quite common unless here is a reason to have one. I've had two already and I'm only 9 wks but that's because I don't have a regular period so I had no idea when I conceived.

Re: Brand New

With my first I only had one u/s at 14 weeks with this one I already had one at 8 weeks to confirm the pregnancy and have another one scheduled at 12 weeks for the chromosome testing.

Re: Brand New

Thanks all.  I got a pleasant surprise yesterday when my doctor pulled out a little hand held ultrasound they had purchased since my sister's experience!  She plopped it down on my belly and there was that perfect little beating heart... I melted!

Hope you are all doing well!
