ThredUp: $15 off Your 1st Order = 4 Items of Kid’s Clothing for $7 Shipped! (through 12/14)

Thursday, December 13th, 2012

ThredUp is an online consignment store for children’s clothing. Right now they are offering a free $15 credit toward any first time purchase when you sign up here and use coupon code HOLIDAY15 at checkout. The offer does not apply toward shipping, however there are quite a few items priced around $3-$4 so you should be able to get 4 pieces of clothing for around the cost of shipping which is $7. This offer is good through midnight 12/14/12.

I’ve placed a couple of orders through ThredUp and have been really impressed. The clothes were like new in quality and they even gave me two of the items for free because they didn’t meet their quality standards. (They double check the items when they prepare to ship them and I guess these two shirts had some pilling…nothing that bothered me though! But again, it speaks of their quality.)

While I found their prices to be a bit more than what I would pay at yard sales and maybe even some kid’s consignment stores, I still found quite a few great deals. As I said, the items were in great shape and they came in a cute little box and were wrapped up like a gift inside…which made them seem even more special! And I loved the fact that I didn’t have to leave my home which means I saved time and gas too.

Steals.com- My Review and Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals

Tuesday, November 20th, 2012

Recently I got to test drive a new-to-me daily deal site called Steals.com. Steals.com delivers top-quality brands and products through the websites BabySteals.com, ScrapbookSteals.comKidSteals.com, and SheSteals.com. With deals up to 80% off, Steals.com is definitely a site to keep an eye on! Each Steal.com site features two amazing steals each day—one at 9am MT and another at 9pm MT until they are gone.

Here’s a bit of a rundown of the 4 different Steal.com sites:

BABYSTEALS.COM
Features maternity necessities, blankets, clothes, bottles, toys, diapers…the list goes on and on. Deals often feature hot brands like Babylegs, ERGObaby, Petunia Pickle Bottom, aden + anais and Ju-Ju-Be.

KIDSTEALS.COM
This site features all things kid. Their site sums it up pretty well: “We want your kids to have everything they need, plus the little splurges they want, without putting a dent in your wallet.”

SCRAPBOOKSTEALS.COM
Deals for albums paper, tools, die cuts, chipboard, scissors, cardstock, rub-ons, punches, embellishments, brads, charms, stamps, ribbon, markers, (are you excited yet?) and more! This site is a scrapbooker and craft lovers heaven!

Personally, I think this site is the most unique. I mean, how often have you seen a deal site exclusively for scrapbook lovers?

SHESTEALS.COM
Here you’ll find deals exclusively for you! You’ll find the best boutique brands on products for yourself and your home.

******************************************************

I found the Steals.com sites easy to navigate and use and thought their prices seemed fairly reasonable, especially if you want top of the line brands.

My 4-year-old son has been wishing for his own backpack for a long time. Not that he’s in school or anything, but we travel quite a bit and he thinks that a backpack would be fun to have to put his books and travel things in. So when I spotted some backpacks on sale at KidSteals.com I knew I had found his Christmas gift. They are a bit smaller than regular backpacks and are perfect for little people.  Funny thing is, he saw me looking at them and proclaimed, “Oh Mom!  I want one of those. I want the green one!” So I know we’re going to have one excited boy on Christmas morning. :)

I found the ordering process very easy. However, when my order arrived the backpack was pink, not green! I contacted Steals.com’s customer service and they apologized for the mistake and quickly sent me out the correct backpack along with a prepaid mailer to return the pink one. I found their customer service to be excellent!

Steals.com kindly sent me a preview of their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. Here’s a peek:
